thais linhares Nascida em setembro de 1970, Thais Linhares atua principalmente como ilustradora e designer gráfica. Sua formação se divide entre a Escola Nacional de Belas Artes - UFRJ e o SENAI de Artes Gráficas, ambos na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, onde mora com seu esposo e filhos. Iniciou sua carreira em agências de publicidade. Entretanto seus trabalhos mais gratificantes são como ilustradora free-lancer. Possui um prêmio Altamente Recomendável, e vários Acervo Básico da FNLIJ. Foi selecionada para a Bienal Internacional de Bratislava – por um ano seus originais em papel irão circular por diversas escolas locais. Aprecia a participação em projetos educacionais, como a Ciranda dos Autores, que é uma parceria da AEILIJ com a Casa Azul, organizadora da FLIP (Feira Literária Internacional de Paraty). Atualmente ocupa o cargo de representante fluminense da AEILIJ, Associação de Escritores e Ilustradores de Literatura Infantil e Juvenil. Thais Linhares, an illustrator and graphic designer, was born in September 1970. She’ve attended the National School of Fine Arts – UFRJ and SENAI, a technical course of graphic design and production, both of then located in Rio de Janeiro, where she liver with her husband and sons. She startet her career working for publicity agencies. But her favorite works are as a free-lancer ilustrator. She has a Highy Commended among other prizes given by FNLIJ – brazilian section of IBBY.
