marilia pirillo Sou gaúcha, de Porto Alegre, nascida em 1969. Estudei Artes e, em 1992, me formei em Publicidade e Propaganda pela PUCRS. Durante alguns anos trabalhei com projeto gráfico e editoração. Comecei a carreira de ilustradora desenhando para revistas de atividades para crianças e para uma revista especializada sobre educação dirigida a professores. Em 1995 ilustrei meus primeiros livros infantis. Em 1998, eu e meu marido criamos o Laboratório de Desenhos, um estúdio destinado a fornecer ilustrações e animações para o mercado publicitário e editorial do sul do país. Em 2004, o estúdio foi transferido para o Rio de Janeiro, onde resido atualmente, desde então tenho me dedicado exclusivamente à ilustração e criação de textos para a literatura infantil e juvenil. Marilia Pirillo. I was born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, in 1969. I studied Arts and, in 1992, graduated in Publicity and Propaganda at the Rio Grande do Sul Pontificial Catholic University – PUCRS. During a few years I worked with graphic design and editing. I began my career as an illustrator, drawing for magazines directed to children activities and a magazine specialized in education, for teachers. In 1995 I have started illustrating books for children. In 1998, me and my husband set up the Drawings Laboratory, a studio made to produce illustrations and animations for the publicity and editorial markets in the south of the country. In 2004, the studio was transferred to Rio de Janeiro, where I currently live.
